We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail‑oriented CNC Mill Operator to join our dynamic aerospace manufacturing team. If you thrive in a high‑precision, fast‑paced environment and are confident working with Fanuc‑controlled CNC lathes, we want to hear from you.
Location: Fareham/Gosport
Salary: Up to £21.71 p/h
Hours: Days, Lates and Earlies
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and operate CNC Mills with Heidenhain control systems.
* Interpret and work from complex aerospace engineering drawings and specifications.
* Machine components to tight tolerances and superior surface finishes.
* Conduct in‑process inspection using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometres, verniers, bore gauges).
* Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and tools.
* Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
* Follow all health & safety and quality assurance procedures.
* Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to meet design and customer requirements.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience operating CNC Mills in aerospace or precision engineering settings.
* Confident trouble‑shooting and editing directly at the machine.
* Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
* Experience with AS9100 quality standards (preferred).
* Skilled in using a range of precision measuring equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team.
* NVQ Level 3 or Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering / CNC Machining (preferred).
Desirable (But Not Essential)
* Background in aerospace or high‑precision manufacturing.
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
* Experience operating multi‑axis milling centres or live tooling machines.
