Job description
We are a long established and well-respected specialist electrical testing company based in the South West.
We carry out testing of electrical installations, emergency lighting, fire alarm and portable appliances both locally and nationally across the UK for a range of prestigious clients.
£25k-30K per annum average.
Note: we do not pay on a piece rate basis.
Van, fuel card, uniform and test equipment supplied with all expenses including overnight costs and travelling time paid.
You will be required to:
Work on a local and national basis, generally Monday to Friday. Willingness to travel is essential.
Have the ability to schedule and plan your work and work with minimal supervision.
Be well presented with good customer service skills.
Have a full, clean UK driving license. (SP30 accepted)
Work to required quality and safety standards
Hold the City and Guilds 2377 qualification or a willingness to work towards this (training will be given if required).
Ensure cost effectiveness and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Job requirements:
Carry out visual inspections of appliances.
Carry out electrical testing to ensure that each item is safe to use.
Carry out fuse changes, plug replacements and re-terminations where necessary.
Manage appliance testing in accordance with health and safety requirements.
Complete and submit paperwork and data as agreed.
