Senior Project Manager (Part of SLT) – Staff – Up to £100K + Excellent Benefits – Pembrokeshire
Our leading energy client is seeking a Senior Project Manager, which will be part of the Senior Leadership Team. You will be responsible for leading all project activities that support the achievement of strategic objectives.
The role holder is responsible for the management of internal and external projects aimed at enhancing plant reliability, managing the challenges of an aging assets, and driving the decarbonisation journey towards a net-zero future. The role requires strategic and practical leadership to balance operational needs with long-term sustainability goals, collaborating closely with the Engineering team, Commercial and Finance teams.
Duties:
* This role reports directly to the MD.
* Lead and manage all projects across for the organisation, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives from post feasibility / scoping onwards.
* Ensure sufficient budget and resources are available to deliver project activities in compliance with the company Project Management System.
* Liaise closely with the Engineering Manager in the identification and feasibility of projects that enhance the integrity, reliability, availability, efficiency, and resilience of terminal operations. Develop and execute project strategies accordingly.
* Liaise closely with the Head of Commercial on business development opportunities to create more commercial value.
* Act as the technical representative (alternate to Engineering Manager) on external engagements and especially with respect to business development.
* Take an active role in the governance and steer of the implementation of the Business Management System.
* Ensure project activities comply with all relevant legislation, codes, standards and company policy and procedures.
* Ensure implementation of and adherence to the company Management of Change process for all projects.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
* Experience in project management within the energy, chemicals, renewables, COMAH or similar industry experience.
* Demonstrated experience in managing complex infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of renewable terminal operations, reliability engineering, and asset management.
* Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the energy industry.
* Strong knowledge on risk management and risk management systems for projects
* Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent
