Description
Priory Hospital Southampton are looking for Dietitian to join the team on a full time basis working 37.5 hours week. You will be working on the eating disorder unit.
Set within beautiful, landscaped gardens, Priory Hospital Southampton’s tranquil environment offers therapeutic and recovery-focused residential treatment for those suffering from a number of mental health conditions. We can support adult males and females with acute mental health needs, as well as eating disorders.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patientsYou will:
* Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients with eating disorders to identify deficiencies and dietary challenges.
* Develop and implement individualized meal plans that support recovery while addressing medical and psychological needs.
* Provide education and counseling to patients and families about balanced nutrition, healthy eating behaviors, and relapse prevention.
* Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and medical staff to create integrated treatment plans.
* Monitor patients’ progress, adjust nutrition interventions, and help manage complications related to eating disorders.

What you'll bring to the role

The candidate should be skilled in nutritional assessment, meal planning, and counselling for complex medical and psychological needs. Experience working within multidisciplinary teams is essential.
