Field-based across Hertfordshire & Buckinghamshire
Full-time - Flexible working - £45,000 DOE + uncapped commission
About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to support the growth of our Trades and Labour Construction division across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. This is a new business-focused role, but you will be stepping into a warm desk, with access to existing relationships, lapsed clients and national agreements to help you build momentum quickly.
You will play a key role in developing new client partnerships while re-engaging with established and dormant accounts. This role suits someone who enjoys being out on site, meeting people face-to-face and confidently opening doors within the construction sector.
You will spend the majority of your time in the field, visiting construction sites and speaking directly with decision-makers. Our team works in a flexible way and typically completes 40–50 site visits per week.
What You Will Do
* Develop new client relationships across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire
* Actively manage and grow a warm desk while generating new business opportunities
* Visit sites daily to understand labour requirements and promote our services
* Reconnect with lapsed clients and develop national client opportunities locally
* Work closely with internal recruiters to ensure candidate availability
* Carry out on-site check-ins with workers and follow up on new starters
* Maintain accurate CRM records and manage your sales pipeline
* Work towards realistic activity, revenue and margin targets
About You
* Proven experience in construction recruitment or Trades and Labour supply (essential)
* Confident approaching new sites and building relationships from scratch
* Self-motivated, reliable and comfortable working independently in the field
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Well organised with the ability to manage a busy regional patch
* Full UK driving licence
