Construction Director

About the role: As a construction director you will be responsible for overseeing the whole construction site—including logistics, senior manager team, client liaison and more.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the logistical requirements of a project.
* Delegate work to senior colleagues and their teams.
* Meet with clients, third parties and managers to report on progress.
* Set targets, objectives and responsibilities for staff.
* Review timings, budget, labour, risk and project plans to keep work on track.
* Report to clients and board members on progress.
* Supply financial records.
* Recommend policy and procedure improvements.
* Monitor performance against agreed criteria.
* Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
* Ensure delivery of high‑quality work within contract timescales.
* Deal with contract disputes and mitigate issues.
* Work in an office and on a construction site.
Qualifications & Experience
* Level 7 NVQ in Construction Senior Management or equivalent.
* Foundation degree, HND or undergraduate degree accredited by the CIOB.
* Many years’ experience within the construction industry.
* May need a CSCS card.

The expected salary for a construction director varies with experience:
* Newly trained directors can earn from £61,000.
* Experienced directors can earn up to £149,000.
