Our client is a highly respected financial services organisation (Mortgage & Savings) and owing to a restructure, are recruiting for Graduate Financial Analyst who is seeking to study ACCA or CIMA, to provide commercial support for the financial planning and analysis team and for the wider business with the production and delivery of monthly MI. You will be acting as a support for the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team by delivering timely and accurate MI and reporting. A great growth opportunity with personal development. This role is hybrid 3 days in the Mansfield Office to include Monday and Tuesdays, and 2 days working from home, but may need more office presence during month end. This role comes with a funded study package for Accountancy qualification
Responsibilities of the Finance Analyst
* Monthly finance board and MALCO pack production
* Updating and maintaining balance sheets planning system (ALMIS) to produce weekly/ monthly MI
* Monthly analysis of P&L cost centres for budget holders
* Production of the Monthly Finance Board & Management Asset and Liability Committee (MALCO) packs (responsibility shared with the Assistant Management Accountant).
* Production of interest rate stress tests (GAP estimates) on a weekly/ monthly basis.
* Update the Basis risk scenarios monthly for inclusion in the MALCO pack.
* Produce monthly analysis of P&L cost centres for budget holders and managers to help with cost reduction and monitoring.
* Assist with the Society’s budget and forecast planning by working with budget holders to produce forward looking cost information.
* Provide product pricing/ profitability information to assist with the production of the society’s product pricing model.
* Assist in the testing and implementation of new systems within the department.
Requirements for the Finance Analyst
* Relevant Degree level education
* Highly competent in the use of Excel and Microsoft packages.
* Understanding of accounting procedures and principles.
* High level of analytical ability with a strong attention to detail.
* Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy whilst working to tight deadlines.
* Able to take the initiative and work autonomously.
* Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at varying levels within the Society.
* Knowledge of the financial services industry is an advantage.
