GSL Education are supporting a brand-new Alternative Provision School l in Hull that is set to open in January 2026. We are looking to appoint a Careers Lead with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join the school on a direct, long-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the school’s careers provision from the very beginning, working with learners who have a range of additional needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and other complex profiles.
The Role of a Careers Lead:
* Lead the school’s Careers Programme from day one
* Build strong employer links across the local area
* Deliver high-quality careers education and guidance
* Work closely with SLT to develop pathways into further education, training, and employment
* Contribute to whole-school development in a brand-new SEN setting
* Teach as well as working as a Careers Lead
Requirements of a Careers Lead:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Teaching Qualification – essential
* Experience working in SEN, alternative provision, or with students with additional needs
* Strong understanding of CEIAG and relevant statutory guidance
* Ability to build partnerships with employers, families, and external agencies
* Passionate about helping young people progress into positive futures
