What does the role involve:
As Innserve continues to deliver against its ambitious strategy, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on individual to take ownership of facilities compliance, contractor coordination, and capital project support across our sites in Tadcaster, Sunderland, Follingsby, and tenanted regional stores.
This role is central to maintaining safe, legally compliant, and well-managed workplaces. You will be responsible for overseeing statutory checks-including water hygiene, LOLER, fire alarms, and asbestos-ensuring they are completed, documented, and followed up where issues arise. You'll review inspection reports, identify non-conformances, and ensure remedial actions are tracked and closed out.
You will coordinate contractors across cleaning, HVAC, and general maintenance, ensuring work is completed to a high standard, with all necessary documentation and permits in place. You'll monitor contract performance, verify value for money, and escalate concerns where service delivery falls short.
You will also support capital expenditure (capex) projects, contributing to planning, contractor liaison, and on-site coordination for building works and infrastructure improvements. Working closely with our HSE and procurement teams, you'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and to specification.

• Curiosity to understand existing installed systems and how they relate to remedial works and system rationalisation
• Ability to think critically and make informed recommendations or decisions
• Willingness and ability to travel to all company locations
