The post is a 2 year fixed‑term full time and will involve the trainees rotating through all of the specialist sections of the pharmacy department. This qualification will enable you to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) at the end of your training placement. The trainee is supported throughout the training period, and with support, will learn to complete a range of tasks within timescales to a competent standard. You will undertake and complete an apprenticeship to obtain a Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice. This will involve working with an assessor to develop a work‑based portfolio; undertaking work‑based assessments, and completing assignments.

What you can expect:

* continuous learning: you will be constantly expending your knowledge and skills, keeping up to date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice (access to a variety of specialised departments through rotations, shadowing opportunities and teaching sessions)
* making a difference: your work will directly impact the health and well‑being of our community
* rewarding career path: this is your chance to build a fulfilling and long lasting career in healthcare

To be eligible for consideration for a Pre‑Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician interview you must meet all the essential criteria and have:

* Minimum of three GCSEs at Grade A*- C/9‑4 including Mathematics, English Language and Science
* Original copies of the above certificates will need to be shown at interview (failure to do so will result in cancellation of the interview)

What we are looking for:

* passion for healthcare: we are seeking individuals who are genuinely passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of others and are firm supporters of our Trust's values
* strong work ethics: we value hard work, dedication and a commitment to excellence.
* excellent time management skills to ensure strict academic deadlines given throughout the training period are met
* excellent communication skills: effective communication is key in healthcare, and we are looking for candidates who can communicate with both patients and other healthcare colleagues with care and clarity
* team player: you will be an essential part of our team so the ability to collaborate and support your team members is crucial
* proactivity and ability to participate in self‑directed study

If artificial intelligence (AI) programmes are used then the application may be rejected due to this document being an important part of the assessment process.
