Join us as a Senior Governance Manager We’ll look to you to provide professional corporate governance advice to support our bank, its franchises, functions and subsidiary companies to deliver their strategic objectives Day-to-day, you’ll act as a secretary to senior governance fora, provide guidance about our governance framework and drive a consistent approach to meet our bank’s policies and applicable external requirements Thrive in a role where you’ll have the chance to champion the potential of our business and make a far-reaching impact through your work Our team operates within a hybrid working model so you'll work from home some of the time, coming into the office 1-2 days per week to collaborate closely with your colleagues What you’ll do As a Senior Governance Manager, you’ll offer advice on a range of corporate governance matters up to executive committee and board level, while identifying opportunities to improve the corporate governance frameworks and its processes. Alongside this, you’ll manage relationships with, provide briefings to and act as a point of contact to stakeholders for advice on corporate governance matters. You’ll also ensure that the statutory records of our businesses are maintained in line with legal and regulatory requirements. Your top priorities will include: Leading on corporate governance activities and projects that are relevant to the job, including acting as a board committee secretary and advisor to subsidiary legal entities Providing governance advice and support to boards and committees in relation to reports and accounts disclosures, executive governance and individual accountability reviews Advising on a range of board governance and legal entity management issues, including governance simplification, reports and accounts disclosures and board and committee effectiveness Advising key stakeholders on our Corporate Governance Policy, subsidiary governance framework and applicable regulatory requirements Keeping up to date with all relevant legal and regulatory developments to ensure that local policies are updated accordingly The skills you’ll need To be successful in this role, you’ll need an understanding of the company secretarial and regulatory environments pertaining to large and complex financial services organisations. You’ll also need to be able to manage highly confidential information in a discreet and professional manner. Knowledge of our bank’s structure, its businesses and key issues facing the banking sector will be an advantage.
