Overview
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Plant Fitter on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities for the Plant Fitter:
1. Performing major and minor repairs to plant machinery.
2. Carrying out PDI works and attachment set up on plant machinery.
3. Mobile repair and maintenance of plant machinery.
4. Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services according to machine hrs and schedules.
5. Maintaining inventory in the service vehicle and cleanliness from oil spills and dust.
6. Working with other departments, including the sales team to ensure a quality and reliable service level is provided to customers.
7. Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for to machines.
8. Maintaining records of machines that have been repaired or handled.
9. Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims according to manufacturer requirements or escalating them to higher management.
10. Providing in-house training to recruits and trainees as required.
11. Carrying out your role with quality, compliance and health and safety always at the forefront of what you do.
Skills and Qualifications for the Plant Fitter:
12. NVQ Level 3 in Plant Machinery Repair and Maintenance.
13. You will need the ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards.
14. Full UK Driving Licence
