Job Description
As a Cyber Defence Analyst you will join the Cyber Fusion Center, performing in-depth analysis, assessment, and response to security threats. You will be responsible for receiving, prioritizing, investigating, containing, eradicating, and recovering from security events impacting Experian.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily security operations and respond to alerts for cyber threats and incidents.
* Analyze events using SIEM, EDR, and other tooling; assess risk and severity; elevate higher‑risk events.
* Collaborate with incident response teams and external stakeholders for resolution.
* Document incidents, maintain case notes, and support post‑incident lessons learned.
* Improve SOPs, SOP and training materials and suggest enhancements to use cases.
Required Qualifications
* Experience in a Security Operations Center or Cyber Security Incident Response team.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; professional certification (e.g., GCIH, CEH) is a plus.
* Knowledge of Incident Response Lifecycle, MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and related frameworks.
* Hands‑on experience with SIEM (Splunk, Qradar), EDR (CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender), and SOAR platforms.
* Exposure to Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and networking technologies.
Preferred Experience
* Packet analysis, forensic, and malware reverse engineering skills.
* Network forensics, event monitoring, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing concepts.
* Automation scripting and SOAR orchestration.
