A well‑established constructionpany is seeking a proactive and detail‑focused Accounts Administrator to support its busy finance and administration function. This role offers the flexibility of mainly remote working, with occasional visits to the office for key meetings or team requirements.Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
1. Process supplier and subcontractor invoices accurately and efficiently.
2. Allocate correct project and cost codes in line with construction job costing requirements
3. Verify VAT status
4. Assist with preparing and submitting VAT returns
5. Carry out bank reconciliations
6. Support the finance team with ad‑hoc transactional tasks
Office & Operational Admin
7. Provide general administrative support to project teams and the wider business
8. Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems (POs, invoices,pliance documents, etc.)
9. Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams professionally
Candidate Requirements
10. Experience in an Accounts Admin / Finance Admin / Accounts Assistant role
11. Understanding of invoice processing and VAT (desirable)
12. Confident using Excel and accounting software
13. High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
14. Ability to manage workload independently in a remote working environment
15. Strongmunication skills when dealing with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal staff
