This role will provide high-level analysis to our senior academy squads, working closely with coaching staff to develop young players.
The position also involves coordinating analysts to ensure the timely filming, coding, and uploading of academy matches, maintaining set standards.
Key accountabilities include:
* Leading filming, uploading, coding, and feedback for senior academy fixtures and training sessions.
* Producing and presenting in-depth analysis at team, unit, and individual levels.
* Creating pre- and post-match analyses and reviewing training sessions to meet deadlines.
* Providing analytical support for player development and maintaining this process.
* Coordinating analysts for filming academy matches with wide-angle coverage.
* Ensuring game coding and uploads are completed promptly post-match.
* Delivering in-game analysis via live coding to coaches.
* Updating best practice content for the first team to share with academy players.
* Carrying out research projects to improve team and individual performance.
* Managing and exchanging footage with opposition clubs and uploading content to platforms.
* Supporting academy recruitment through footage production.
* Maintaining a comprehensive video database of players' progress.
* Filming junior academy games to introduce video analysis to young players.
* Staying informed of industry best practices and technological advancements.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
* Experience in youth or professional football analysis.
* Familiarity with analysis software (Sportscode, Hudl, Wyscout, etc.).
* Proficiency with performance analysis equipment for filming matches and training.
* Ability to produce detailed, engaging analysis.
* Coaching or youth development experience.
* Degree related to performance analysis, sports science, or data science.
* Strong tactical and technical understanding of football.
* Experience delivering engaging analysis.
* Competence with analysis software and camera equipment.
* Attention to detail, proactive work ethic, and organizational skills.
Desirable:
* Coaching qualifications (UEFA B, Youth Licence).
* Data handling and integration skills.
* Experience managing staff or students.
* Flexibility for working hours, including evenings or weekends.
