An exciting opportunity has arisen with a highly regarded Scottish law firm for an experienced Private Client Solicitor (2+ PQE) to join its established and growing team based in Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a top-tier private client practice, advising a diverse client base including high-net-worth individuals and families on complex and high-value matters.
The Role
You will manage a varied and high-quality caseload, including:
1. Wills, trusts, and estate planning
2. Executry administration, including complex and taxable estates
3. Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) planning
4. Powers of Attorney and incapacity matters
5. Advising clients on long-term wealth and succession planning
You’ll play a key role in delivering tailored, proactive advice while working collaboratively within a well-resourced team.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
6. 2+ years’ PQE in private client work
7. Strong technical expertise across wills, trusts, and executries
8. Experience advising on tax planning matters (IHT/CGT)
9. Excellent drafting and client management skills
10. A commercially minded, collaborative approach
11. STEP qualification (or working towards) is advantageous
