Facilities Coordinator (Part-time)
We are looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join the team based at our regional office in Birtley.
This is a part-time position for 27.5 hours per week.
About the Role
The Facilities Coordinator will be a highly visible role, responsible for the health, safety and well‑being of all employees, visitors and contractors using the office facilities in the North‑East. Ensuring the offices are an inviting, open and inclusive place to work from. This includes the efficient organisation of meeting spaces for meetings, conferences and events.
What You'll Be Doing
* Ensuring the North‑East offices meet all Health & Safety standards and comply with all legal requirements
* Ensuring all service provider contracts, including security and cleaning, are optimised for service delivery
* Working closely with the purchasing team to optimise contracted spend with approved suppliers
* Ensuring that the Environmental, Quality and Safety Management systems and procedures are understood and enacted
* Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues
* Sharing best practices with colleagues from other parts of the business and industry
* Ensuring the offices remain up to date in terms of IT connectivity and best practice
The Ideal Candidate
* A IOSH Managing Safely or Facilities Management Qualification preferred
* Full / Clean driving licence
* Experience of managing an office or other such facility preferred
* IT literate to perform required tasks and responsibilities, including knowledge of corporate procurement rules
* Effective communication skills both written and verbal
* Statutory Inspection knowledge in an office environment preferred but not essential
