Salary: £34,314 - £42,708 (Plus 15% market supplement increasing salaries to £39,461 to £49,114))

Middlesbrough Council is looking for enthusiastic, qualified social workers to join their Stronger Families Team. Are you prepared to advance your social work career and create a lasting difference for children and families?
Duties Include:
To support a whole family early help, approach and deliver intensive family interventions within a multi-agency environment and to intervene at the earliest opportunity.
To help children, young people and families take part in evidence-based assessment, set achievable goals, complete timely reviews, and make lasting changes to be able to reach their potential.
To work with children in a way that allows them to be heard, and children's voices informs planning and interventions.
To provide appropriate ongoing support to our most vulnerable children that may be at threshold of Level 4 interventions or have a significant history of statutory interventions. As the Lead Practitioner you will be responsible for coordinating the multi-agency approach around the family.
To support consultation and support to Family Practitioners with home visits/multi agency meetings where further assessment of risk and safety planning may be required to assist in decision making around threshold.
To work with a range of stakeholders and partners to engage children, young people and families to agree shared priorities and improve outcomes, using evidence-based practice.
To work in an innovative way with families to empower parents to provide good levels of parenting, early literacy, school readiness and good attendance.
To co-ordinate multi-disciplinary early help approaches using agreed assessment planning, monitoring and quality assurance processes which meet required external inspection frameworks.
To maintain, update and record accurate and detailed caseload information on appropriate management information systems.
To offer children and families a quality service by applying Middlesbrough's Practice Standards and Middlesbrough Safeguarding Children procedures.
To feed back to the Team Manager any problems in relation to the effective provision of services and/or policies.
To undertake Safety plans, joint home visits to colleagues where appropriate to ensure threshold is appropriate.Why Choose Middlesbrough?
