Bond Healthcare is one of Northern Ireland’s leading healthcare recruitment and workforce solutions providers, supplying healthcare professionals across the NHS, private healthcare sector, nursing homes, supported living services, and domiciliary care settings.

As part of our strategic growth plans, we are expanding our Domiciliary Care division and are seeking an experienced, commercially focused, and operationally driven Head of Operations to lead the development, growth, compliance, and day-to-day management of our homecare business.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for building a high-quality domiciliary care service that delivers exceptional outcomes for service users while achieving ambitious growth objectives.


The Role

The Head of Operations will have overall responsibility for the operational performance, growth, regulatory compliance, and profitability of Bond Healthcare’s domiciliary care division.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to develop and implement a strategic growth plan, ensuring the business becomes a leading provider of homecare services throughout Northern Ireland and beyond.

This role requires a strong combination of operational leadership, commercial awareness, regulatory expertise, people management, and business development capability.


Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Management
2. Oversee all day-to-day operations of the domiciliary care division.
3. Ensure safe, effective, and person-centred care is delivered to all service users.
4. Monitor operational KPIs and implement improvements where required.
5. Lead and manage Registered Managers, Care Coordinators, Supervisors, and support teams.
6. Ensure sufficient staffing levels are maintained to meet client demand.
7. Develop efficient rostering and workforce management processes.


Business Development

8. Support the acquisition of new care packages, contracts, and partnerships.
9. Build relationships with Trusts, commissioners, social workers, case managers, and healthcare professionals.
10. Identify opportunities for service diversification and growth.
11. Participate in tender submissions and contract negotiations.


Workforce Leadership

12. Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing management team.
13. Foster a positive, supportive, and accountable culture.
14. Lead workforce planning initiatives.
15. Ensure robust induction, training, supervision, and appraisal processes are in place.
16. Promote employee engagement and wellbeing.


Essential Criteria

17. Minimum 5 years’ senior management experience within domiciliary care, healthcare, or social care services.
18. Strong understanding of RQIA regulations and governance requirements.
19. Proven track record of managing large operational teams.
20. Experience of driving business growth and service development.
21. Excellent leadership and people management skills.
22. Strong commercial and financial acumen.
23. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
24. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Salary
