Senior Structural Design Engineer - Environment (Water)
Location: Solihull / Grangemouth (Scotland) / Nottingham (Annesley / Warrington / Bristol)

What you will be doing:
As Senior Structural Design Engineer, you will be a key member of the Engineering Design Team, working with Principal Engineers, Design Team, Design Managers, and Design Leads to deliver high-quality designs in compliance with GT processes, BMS, and H&S regulations. This technical role requires expertise in water and wastewater industry design. You may also have line management responsibilities for design engineers and others.
You will provide direction, contribute to engineering governance, support the supply chain, and assist site activities. Mentoring and knowledge sharing with early-career engineers are also expected.
In this role you will:
* Deliver structural design in water/wastewater projects, reviewing schemes, producing reports, calculations, and drawings.
* Undertake detailed design of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
* Modify existing structural assets within water/sewage treatment plants.
* Mentor junior engineers and support project planning and cost estimation.
* Support site assessments and structural evaluations.
Specific Requirements
* Proven experience in relevant discipline, typically + years.
* Extensive knowledge of reinforced concrete design for water/wastewater sector structures.
* Experience with British Standards, Eurocodes, and design software such as STAADPro, Strand, TEKLA, TEDDS.
* Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
* Experience with structural assessments and client liaison preferred.
Other Requirements:
* Track record in water sector structures projects.
* Knowledge of structural design for below and above ground water retaining structures.
* Experience across all design stages to construction.
* Ability to lead, coordinate with clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
