We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated registered pharmacist to work in our team of Early Careers Pharmacists. The post holder will be expected to value working in a team of Early Careers Pharmacists and the wider pharmacy team, however also be able to work autonomously on the out of hours rota.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a full range of hospital pharmacy skills, with particular emphasis on patient-facing work. The GPhC, Health Education England and NHS England are introducing reforms to pharmacist early years education and training. BTHFTs Pharmacy Department are fully committed to developing a modern workforce with the skills, flexibilities, values and behaviours to deliver collaborative, high quality and research led care and learning. Previously Early Careers Pharmacists have been placed on the University of Bradford Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (Secondary Care) and tuition fees paid subject to funding from Health Education England (HEE).. We run a progressive and innovative clinical pharmacy service where successful candidates will receive clinical experience in areas such as acute medicine, general medicine, respiratory, anticoagulation, older peoples medicine, coronary care, haematology, oncology, paediatrics, renal medicine, intensive care and surgery, plus the other specialties expected from a busy teaching hospital. The postholder will also gain experience in dispensary services, aseptic production, medicines information, radiopharmacy and clinical trials.
Please note this is a two year contract which would suit pharmacists looking to move into hospital pharmacy from any sector. We are also willing to accept applications from trainee pharmacists who are due to graduate this summer
