The Best Connection West Bromwich have a fantastic opportunity for a Logistics Team Leader to join our clients fantastic expanding manufacturing company based within the heart of West Bromwich. Pay: £14.00 £15.00per hour (dependent on experience). Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 16:00. Overtime is available. CV & Interview is required before starting this role. Straight Permanent placement if successful. You will be working within a fast-paced logistics and manufacturing environment, please see main duties below. Daily duties include: Oversee the team to encourage best practices and ensure consistent, reliable production performance. Lead by example, establishing high standards and taking full accountability for the team's output and area performance. Identify, develop, and implement process improvements and best practices to drive enhanced business performance. Work towards and meet established performance targets in alignment with departmental and site-wide KPIs and strategic development plans (SDPs). Monitor attendance, manage absences, and conduct return-to-work interviews in accordance with company policy, initiating disciplinary action when necessary. Represent the team and the company in internal meetings, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Supervise the picking, packing, and dispatching of goods. Allocate tasks in line with production plans and workflow requirements. Identify and assess training needs for yourself and team members. Oversee the effective delivery of training programs, ensuring they meet operational needs and that records are accurately maintained. Follow the companys escalation procedures as required. Apply 5S principles and use lean methodologies to optimize efficiency. Provide support to Logistics Team Leaders during their absence, ensuring continuity in daily operations. Lead team briefings and stand-downs as required. Report performance updates to the Logistics Supervisor. Introduce and implement improvements aimed at reducing customer complaints. Support the wellbeing of team members, fostering a positive work environment. Uphold and promote company core values, ensuring the team aligns with the overall mission. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and contribute to hazard identification and risk assessments. A valid Reach FLT license is required for this role.
