Position

If you are a proactive individual, who is detail oriented, highly organised, resilient and has exceptional communication skills, this role could be a great opportunity for you.

Your role will be to make sure our ecologists are in the right place at the right time with the right equipment to deliver our first-class ecology services to our clients.

You'll lead a small team and work closely with Project Managers and leaders across our Ecology department to support projects through allocation of staff resourcing and equipment to projects and maintain resource schedules.

Strong stakeholder engagement will be key, as you'll communicate regularly with all levels of the business to foster collaboration and ensure resource planning aligns with organisational goals.

On a day to day basis you'll be responsible for:

* Allocating resources to projects and responding to changing circumstances such as project changes and absence to ensure continued project delivery.
* Engaging with Project Managers throughout the department to understand their resourcing needs and balance competing priorities.
* Overseeing the provision and maintenance of equipment for our ecologists to use in the field.

Once you are settled in role there is an opportunity to work with leaders in the business to review our end to end resourcing processes and implement improvements.

Requirements

You will be a confident and forward-thinking individual with the ability to multitask whilst staying calm under pressure in this fast-paced environment.

You will have experience of working either in a planning & logistics environment, or, in an ecology consultancy. As a result you will be able to demonstrate either planning expertise or knowledge of ecological surveys.

Additionally, you will be able to offer:

* Confidence dealing with resource contention, conflicts and changing circumstances.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, able to build trust and confidence, and with the ability to resolve conflict with an outcome-focused working style.
* Excellent organisation and time management skills. Able to prioritise in a fast-paced ad changing environment.
* The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
* A solution focussed approach. You will have good judgement and decision-making skills.
* Experience in preparing and monitoring management information to track progress.
* An awareness of project budgets and how to successfully manage them.
* Strong IT skills. You will be confident using Office 365 products and quick to learn bespoke software and systems.
