Stores Manager Civil Engineering Head Office, Ilkeston, Derbyshire Competitive Salary (DOE) Full-Time, Permanent Are you an experienced Stores Manager with at least 5 years proven experience managing busy stores within a civil engineering or industrial environment ? We are seeking a driven, motivated and hands-on professional to join our Head Office team in Ilkeston. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a fast-paced stores function and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of projects. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all day-to-day stores operations, including receiving, shelving, stock maintenance and returns. Carry out regular and monthly stock checks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Manage counter service, issuing materials, consumables and equipment to workshop operatives. Check incoming deliveries against documentation and resolve discrepancies. Prepare and pack goods for dispatch, ensuring timely processing. Monitor and report on returned tools & equipment. Allocate stock to projects, ensuring materials are available on time. Load/unload vehicles safely and maintain a clean, organised yard & stores area. Ensure all health, safety and environmental standards are met at all times. Skills & Experience Required: Minimum 5 years experience in a Stores Management role (civil engineering or industrial sector preferred). Proven track record in stock control and material handling. Fork Lift Truck licence (essential). Strong IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate stock records. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A proactive, methodical and hands-on approach with a strong team ethic. Flexible, reliable, and able to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment. What We Offer: ?
