Due to continued growth within the firm an opportunity has opened up within the wills and probate team for an ambitious and passionate private client fee earner to join the team. As a Private Client Fee earner you will provide expert advice across a range of private client matters, including Probate, Wills, Trusts, Inheritance Tax, LPAs, and Deputyship matters. Working closely with Private Client Legal & Strategic Leads, People Leads, and your team, you will manage cases efficiently while supporting the growth of less experienced colleagues. Key Responsibilities: Manage a full and varied caseload of private client matters Handle complex probate matters, including high-value and taxable estates Prepare and submit probate applications (online & paper) and IHT400 forms Calculate Inheritance Tax, Income Tax, and Capital Gains Tax in estates Draft detailed estate accounts and manage collection and distribution of assets Work with NRB trusts, including implementation, taxation, and closures Liaise with executors, beneficiaries, HMRC, financial institutions, and Probate Registry Advise clients on estate planning and trusts, ensuring tax-efficient and compliant solutions Keep up to date with changes in private client law, inheritance tax, and best practices Provide empathetic support to clients throughout the process Support, mentor, and supervise junior team members Why this role?
