The IT department have an exciting and pivotal new role available for a Network Engineer/specialist, who will help develop and maintain the IT systems for the whole school.
The Role
In this senior role within the IT department, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance and development of the schools IT network, from switches, routers, WiFi, firewalls, wireless access points etc. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the network and also the planning and delivery of networking projects.
You will also be requires to assist with the schools general IT support when necessary, with end user support, system administration, hardware repairs and maintenance.
Requirements
In this technical role, you must have strong technical knowledge and hands on experience with networking protocols, ideally with relevant qualifications such as CCNA/CCNP or an IT related degree.
Experience working in the education sector would be advantageous, but is not essential.
* Experience working with cloud technologies (intune/azure)
* Hands on firewall experience (ideally Palo Alto)
* Experience in setting up networks & switches from scratch
* An understanding of enterprise networks
In return
This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis, 35 hours per week, with a salary on offer of £45,000 - £50,000.
