Technical Director - Electrical (Building Services MEP)

Salary: 80,000 - 100,000 + Benefits
Are you ready to lead and inspire within the electrical discipline on some of the UK's most complex and high-profile projects?
An excellent opportunity is available for a Technical Director (or experienced Associate Director seeking a step up) within the electrical team of a prominent, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy. You'll join a collaborative and ambitious MEP division, delivering innovative solutions across major sectors including aviation, healthcare, commercial and public infrastructure.
The Role:
Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to a team of electrical engineers across multiple sites.
Play a key role in the strategic development and day-to-day management of the regional Electrical team.
Drive business growth through client engagement, work-winning, and project excellence.
Manage project delivery from concept through technical design, ensuring quality, compliance, and innovation.
Oversee team performance including pipeline forecasting, budget control, and operational management.
Work alongside mechanical, public health, BIM and sustainability specialists on integrated design solutions.
Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
Current Projects Include:
International airports
NHS and private healthcare facilities
Large-scale commercial and infrastructure projects
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven track record in a senior electrical role within building services consulting.
Strong leadership and business development skills with the ability to drive team performance and profitability.
Broad experience in electrical systems design (LV/HV, lighting, power, controls, etc.) across varied building types.
Chartered status with IET or working towards Chartership.
Deep understanding of relevant standards, sustainable design principles, and current industry best practices.
Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC level).
