Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our head cook in various tasks, ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. Duties
* Assist in meal preparation and food preparation, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking.
* Support chefs with cooking tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking basic dishes.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitising work areas.
* Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all food is prepared and stored safely.
* Help with catering events as required, ensuring that all meals are delivered on time and to a high standard.
* Serve food to customers or staff as needed, providing excellent customer service at all times.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
Experience
* Previous kitchen experience or culinary experience is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is highly desirable.
* Experience in catering or restaurant settings will be advantageous.
* A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic environment.
