You should be working in primary care with a background as a Paramedic, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, or Nurse Practitioner.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for registered and temporary patients.
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake duties of face-to-face and telephone consultations.
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the practice.
Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems and screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
To be able to prescribe and issue prescriptions or be prepared to undertake training courses if required.

Job responsibilities
Working hours are 08:00-18:00 on Thursday and Friday, totaling 19 hours per week.
Working in the Same Day Team diagnosing and treating patients with minor illnesses and other urgent presentations face-to-face or via telephone.
Requesting and interpreting tests e.g., blood tests, imaging, and ECGs, to aid in the diagnosis of complex conditions.
Referring patients to colleagues.
Using various consultation techniques e.g., in-person consultations and remote assessments utilizing technology.
Participating in practice meetings.

Experience
* Experience of clinical work in general practice and/or an urgent care service
