Finance Applications System Administrator

Responsible for managing and supporting finance applications, primarily Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and IBM Cloud Planning Analytics, while ensuring security, data protection, compliance and optimal performance across the platform.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide first- and second-line technical support for D365 F&O modules, troubleshooting and resolving incidents in accordance with KPI and SLA targets.
* Collaborate with support partners to triage incidents for D365 ISVs, IBM Controller and Planning Analytics.
* Manage security user access, provisioning, role assignment and segregation of duties, and perform security diagnostics.
* Operate Lifecycle Services (LCS) for D365 F&O, including database refreshes, environment configuration and performance monitoring.
* Assist end-users with system navigation, functionality and best practices.
* Monitor performance of modules and proactively address potential issues.
* Manage ongoing operations: data quality monitoring, month‑end system interfaces, month‑ and year‑end closures, and integration/ISV management (e.g., Azure Key Vault, Logic Apps).
* Log, track and resolve incidents in an ITSM tool, ensuring timely resolution.
* Support hybrid work model – two days per week in the Woking Head Office.


System Maintenance & Change Management

* Plan, test and implement system updates, patches and upgrades with minimal disruption.
* Lead periodic system upgrades, develop UAT support and coordinate with third parties using Azure DevOps and LCS.
* Utilise LCS and Azure Monitor for uptime and batch job monitoring.
* Analyse user needs, interpret requirements and design solutions for new systems and processes.
* Manage data entities, import/export projects and recurring data jobs.
* Identify automation opportunities and build solutions with MS CoPilot, Logic Apps, Power Platform and Azure Integration Services.
* Review changes against the IT change process, submit to IT Front Door/design authority, and coordinate implementation with business and project teams.
* Maintain detailed documentation of issues, resolutions and procedures in the Knowledgebase.
* Lead training sessions for new and existing users to enhance system usage.
* Collaborate with IT colleagues and business departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of finance applications.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Drive continuous improvement practices in line with industry best practices.
* Support cross‑functional teams, understand process impacts and coordinate roll‑outs.
* Engage key users and stakeholders for ongoing feedback and system improvement.
* Provide post‑deployment support during hyper‑care and roll‑outs.


Essential Qualifications / Experience

* Proven experience and deep knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
* Experience with third‑party finance solutions and integrations.
* Strong understanding of ERP systems, business and accounting processes.
* Excellent problem‑solving, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
* Familiarity with IT service frameworks, service offerings, standards and policies.
* Staying current with emerging technologies and potential infrastructure services.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Team‑working orientation and adaptability to all levels of end‑users and IT personnel.
* Analytical approach to identifying and resolving issues.
* Experience collaborating with third‑party service providers.
* Work ethic geared toward exemplary customer service, with proactive prioritisation of tasks.
* Resilience in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.


Desirable Qualifications / Experience

* Experience supporting IBM TM1 / Cloud Planning Analytics platform.
* Database administration or finance reporting / data engineering experience.
* Technical expertise across finance applications and cloud technology platforms.
* Support experience with Azure Logic Apps, MS Power Platform and/or Power BI reporting.
* Healthcare, safety or sustainability experience (optional).
