Job Title: Mathematics Visiting Lecturer (SEN College - Post-16 Learners) Location: Birmingham Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Part-Time (3 Days per Week) Are you a passionate and experienced Maths educator with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently seeking a Mathematics Visiting Lecturer to join a welcoming and well-regarded SEN college in Birmingham. This is a part-time role (3 days per week) starting in September 2025, working with post-16 learners who require a tailored and inclusive approach to learning. About the Role: Deliver engaging and accessible maths sessions to post-16 learners with diverse SEN profiles, including ASD, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties. Develop differentiated lesson plans that cater to individual learning needs. Work closely with support staff and SEN specialists to ensure a collaborative approach to student development. Track and report on learner progress in line with college requirements.Candidate Requirements: Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd or equivalent). Proven experience delivering mathematics at post-16 level, ideally within a further education or SEN setting. Strong understanding of SEN strategies and experience adapting teaching methods accordingly. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
