Registered Children’s Home Manager – Derby Needed !!!
Key-Health is recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of residential care for children and young people, renowned for providing high-quality care and consistently scoring as "Good" with OFSTED. We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of a children’s home in Derby, supporting young people with complex needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team and ensure the highest standard of care for vulnerable children and young people in a high-performing, OFSTED-rated "Good" home.
⏰ Hours:
* 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (with flexibility for weekends and evenings as needed)
💷 Salary:
* £45,000 to £55000 per year, depending on experience.
About the Role:
As the Registered Children’s Home Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Overseeing the daily operations of the children’s home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements
* Leading, supporting, and developing a team of care staff to ensure a high level of professional care and guidance
* Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the home, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the young people
* Modelling best practices in supporting children with challenging behaviours and promoting a positive, safe environment
* Managing budgets, staffing, recruitment, and induction processes
* Collaborating with senior management and external professionals to deliver exceptional care services that contribute to the home’s "Good" OFSTED rating
What We’re Looking For:
* Relevant qualifications in Social Care (Level 3/4 NVQ or equivalent, Level 5 Management Diploma is desirable)
* Experience of managing children’s residential care, particularly with young people with EBD and complex needs (minimum 4 years)
* At least 2 years of care management/supervision experience
* Familiarity with OFSTED inspection the process and Quality Standards
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a focus on team development and conflict resolution
* Excellent communication, reporting & multi-agency collaboration skills
* Ability to manage budgets and resources efficiently
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity
* Valid driving licence and right to work in the UK
