Our client is a premium hospitality business with a successful portfolio of venues across the UK. They are now seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of a prestigious conference and events venue in the City of London.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for an ambitious and driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take ownership of event operations while delivering exceptional, high-end, bespoke events.
The Role
As Event Manager, you will play a key role in the seamless delivery of a wide range of events, including conferences, corporate meetings, and private dining experiences. You will oversee events from planning through to on-the-day delivery and post-event evaluation, ensuring all client expectations are met and exceeded.
Acting as a brand ambassador, you will build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. You will work closely with the General Manager and department heads to ensure first-class operational standards across the venue.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee the day-to-day running of events, ensuring great service & guest experiences
2. Lead and manage all operational and logistical planning for events
3. Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships throughout planning to delivery
4. Lead, motivate, and develop the Events team, identifying training needs and implementing development plans
5. Coordinate with suppliers & internal stakeholders to ensure every detail is delivered to a high standard
6. Anticipate and resolve operational challenges quickly and effectively
About You
7. Proven experience managing large-scale events for 300+ guests
8. Strong operational background within conference venues, event caterers or similar high-end environments
9. A confident and proactive leader with the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams
10. Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
11. Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
12. Excellent communication, administrative, and problem-solving skills
13. Hands-on, flexible, and passionate about delivering outstanding events
