We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality food and beverage offerings at Ori Caffe with the John Lewis store in Solihull. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and experience in the food and beverage industry. As a Coffee Shop Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that our coffee shop runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Supervise daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards.
* Train and mentor staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and serving practices.
* Manage team performance, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and excellence.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the coffee shop.
* Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
* Collaborate with management on menu development, promotions, and special events.
* Maintain knowledge of current trends in the coffee industry to enhance offerings.
Qualifications
* Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant or café setting is essential.
* Strong culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and production techniques.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Excellent communication skills with a strong emphasis on hospitality.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices is required.
* Experience as a barista or within the coffee industry is highly desirable.
* Background in hotel or kitchen environments will be considered an advantage.
