Salary: £61,679 - £68,860 per annum (Soulbury 14-17 + potential for 2 SPA)
Hours: 36.66 per week
Location: Spindles Shopping Centre

Role Overview
This role provides oversight for the school improvement function that the Council provides for 47 maintained primary schools. This includes preparation for OFSTED inspection for schools under LA control and leading on strategies for raising standards in schools. The postholder will be expected to systematically review the performance of schools identifying underperformance and offering support and challenge where appropriate. The successful applicant will be a member of a team that encompasses early years, schools and post 16 sectors, as well as cross-cutting services for Music and Children who are looked after. The successful candidate will be able develop positive relationships with school leaders, governors, MAT’s and wider council teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse pupil data outcome and progress measures.
* Work closely with schools on targeted interventions and strategies for raising achievement.
* Work closely with newly appointed primary headteachers, including providing advice and guidance via an LA Headteacher Induction Programme.
* Commissioning effective support for schools who are underperforming.
* Supporting the local partnership of schools and academies to improve education inclusion and attainment.
Key Requirements
* Senior leadership in a primary school setting and successful management of school improvement initiatives.
* Communicate effectively and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Able to interpret, analyse and present a wide range of school performance data for a variety of audiences.
* Detailed knowledge of the current Ofsted Framework.
