Art is a popular and well-supported subject within the school, with strong GCSE and A Level outcomes and regular exhibitions celebrating pupil work. The department delivers a broad curriculum across fine art, mixed media, ceramics, textiles, and digital art. The technician will play a key role in maintaining studio spaces and supporting practical delivery. The Role Preparing materials and specialist resources for lessons across KS3–KS5 Maintaining art studios, kilns, printing presses, and specialist equipment Supporting GCSE and A Level coursework and portfolio preparation Assisting with exhibitions, displays, and showcase events Managing stock of specialist materials and ordering supplies Ensuring safe storage of materials and compliance with health & safety regulations Supporting practical lessons across a wide range of media Assisting with mounting, framing, and presentation of pupil work Contributing to the overall organisation and efficiency of the department The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience working in an art studio, workshop, or educational setting Knowledge of a range of art materials and techniques Strong organisational and time-management skills A creative and proactive mindset High attention to detail A collaborative and professional approach Salary Competitive salary (dependent on experience) Application To apply for this Art Technician position in Brighton, please submit your CV detailing your relevant artistic or technical experience.
