Overview
Distribution Centre Manager - Next, Motherwell, Scotland, United Kingdom. This permanent role is based at ML1 4YQ and offers 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexibility required.
Responsibilities
* The Regional Service Centre Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Motherwell site, ensuring the RSC’s vision and objectives align with the Company strategy, with a clear operational plan for the coming season. The RSC Manager has substantial budget responsibility, with an overall team of over 150 staff across warehousing and transport. You will ensure that the right product is delivered at the right time, at optimal cost, continually driving and challenging the status quo to improve performance.
* Build and develop strong working relationships with the network of Operational management across Next, external suppliers and customers. Demonstrate exceptional leadership, planning and decision-making skills to ensure service delivery levels are met, anticipating issues and delivering rapid solutions.
* Work closely with the RSC General Manager and other RSC Managers; share best practice and continuous improvement ideas to benefit the logistics network. Lead and empower your team, including direct management of Warehouse and Transport Assistant Site Managers who manage large teams.
About you
* Significant experience in a management role within retail and online distribution.
* Ideally Transport Management CPC.
* Proven track record of leading large teams of over 100 people.
* Strong leadership, planning and decision-making skills; motivated, with the vision to lead change and see the bigger picture.
Role details
* Pay: £53,456 - £57,522 (dependent on experience)
* Bonus: Performance bonus
