Children's Home Registered Manager
Location: East Midlands
Pay: £30 per hour
We have a fabulous opportunity for two child-focused, passionate, and experienced Registered Managers to join our new children’s residential service in East Midlands. Whether you are currently a Deputy Manager or Team Leader in a Children’s Home, or an experienced Registered Manager looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
The agency worker Team Manager will be expected to manage all the day-to-day running of the home, including children’s care plans, staff management, supervisions, working on-call, covering the rota, and ensuring the home operates safely as a 24/7 service. All on-site working, full-time hours.
The role may require unsocial hours, including weekends and bank holidays. Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time unless they fall between 7pm and 7am, when enhanced rates apply. Enhanced pay rates are also paid for bank holiday working.
We are looking for a Registered Manager who listens and cares about what our children have to say—someone who understands that every child is different and is eager to understand each one. Through your strong management, our children will receive the highest quality care. You will lead and inspire a committed staff team to create a home that is safe, comfortable, and truly feels like home—where staff go above and beyond and children feel important.
To be successful, you will have:
* OFSTED Registration as a Residential Care Manager, or significant experience working in a residential children’s care home to secure OFSTED Registration within 6 months of appointment.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Young People’s Services (or equivalent), or a commitment to complete it within 3 years of appointment.
* Experience managing or leading a team within a residential children’s home setting.
* A sound knowledge of relevant legislation, including The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
* The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships and collaborate with various agencies.
* Resilience and tenacity to drive continuous improvement and deliver exceptional care.
Due to access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will require an Enhanced DBS check, including a check against the Children’s Barred List.
