Overview

Warehouse Section Leader at ELEMIS. Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials and products to feed business operations and customer demands.

Location: Avonmouth Warehouse


Responsibilities

Shift pattern: Alternating Mon to Fri 7am-3pm and 11am–7pm, but you must be flexible to work up to 37.5 hours between 6am and 10pm during peak periods

* General Task Management: ensure goods receipts are processed efficiently, oversee stock control activities (receipts, replenishment, cycle counting and order picking), ensure orders are processed in line with customer timelines and quality standards, support continuous improvement initiatives, help create and implement best warehouse practices, monitor and maintain security standards, ensure daily machinery safety checks are carried out and logged, maintain a clean working environment, and ensure health, safety and environmental policies are followed.
* People Management: manage manpower resources, monitor attendance and absence procedures, manage time and attendance, motivate and coach the team, monitor staff performance and ensure targets are met, provide support to the shift manager.
* Self-Management: liaise with other departments, embrace personal challenges, stay resilient and adaptable, commit to self and team development, remain motivated, flexible across shifts and multiple sites, work under pressure to meet deadlines.


Qualifications and Skills

* Ability to sustain and develop team working; strong leadership by example
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Computer literacy with good numeric skills
* Experience with warehouse systems and procedures
