New Build & Refurbishment (Assisted Living & Residential)

Responsibilities
* Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for new build and refurbishment projects.
* Producing accurate pricing for subcontract packages, materials, and labour.
* Managing project cost control, including forecasting, valuations, and final accounts.
* Liaising with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure commercial efficiency.
* Supporting contract administration, risk management, and value engineering initiatives.
* Identifying cost savings and opportunities to improve profitability.
* Contributing to business development through competitive tender submissions and market insights.
* Mentoring junior QS/estimating staff where required.
What You Will Need To Succeed
* Proven experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or dual role in a main contracting environment.
* Strong estimating and pricing skills across new build and refurbishment projects.
* Experience in the assisted living, residential, or care sectors is highly desirable.
* Good understanding of JCT contracts and commercial management processes.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, estimating software, and project management tools.
