Position Overview
Self‑employed Personal Assistant needed to support a young woman in Shepshed during an upcoming medical procedure and recovery period.
Responsibilities
* Provide 2.5–3.5 hours of daily support in the afternoon, as required during recovery.
* Assist with meals, drinks and the safe use of the home.
* Help manage correspondence and appointments.
* Support the individual in reducing isolation and working towards community access.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Reliable, responsible, patient and friendly.
* Ability to build rapport and provide stable support.
* Comfortable working around at least three cats.
* Prepared to work in a home where adults smoke outside the property.
Additional Information
* Client’s main diagnoses include Ehlers‑Danlos syndrome (EDS), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), spontaneous intracranial hypotension, and CPTSD.
* Requires a significant amount of time lying flat for a six‑week recovery period.
* Client enjoys alternative therapy, current affairs, documentaries, history, and regular self‑care routines.
