About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One's Douglas View, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Your responsibilities include planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Tasks may include assisting with mobility, end-of-life care, or communicating with families, always with kindness.
In collaboration with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will facilitate social and recreational activities, administer medication, and maintain accurate records. Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and be willing to pursue Level 3. Knowledge of person-centered care planning and dementia care is essential. Your positive energy, ability to manage time, and considerate communication are vital.
