Educational Psychologist Main Purpose of the Role To deliver an effective educational psychology service to schools, families, and the local authority by: Providing psychological advice for statutory assessments under the SEND Code of Practice. Supporting children and young people with special educational needs, emotional or behavioural difficulties, and developmental disorders. Promoting inclusive education and well-being through evidence-based interventions.Educational Psychologist Key Responsibilities Conduct assessments and consultations for children and young people. Provide psychological advice for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Maintain accurate records and contribute to service databasesEducational Psychologist Qualifications & Skills HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist. Completion of a BPS-accredited Doctorate in Educational Psychology. Strong consultation, assessment, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across education, health, and social care sectors.
