Gracemount High School is a small, non-denominational secondary school with just over 600 pupils, serving the community of Southeast Edinburgh. Founded in 1959 as a junior secondary school, it has been a comprehensive six-year high school since the late 1960s.
Built under PPP and opened in 2003, the school’s leadership team includes the Head Teacher, three Depute Head Teachers, a Senior Development Officer, and a Business Manager. The school employs 50 teaching staff and 20 support staff.
We are a successful, thriving school community that serves a socially diverse population, with over 70% of students living in quintiles 1 and 2 of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation. We take pride in our students and our dedicated, caring staff.
We seek a highly skilled, motivated, and experienced teacher of Social Subjects to join our successful and dynamic faculty.
Our school values of Responsible, Respectful, and Safe underpin our positive culture and ethos, focusing on building confidence and celebrating student success.
