We are looking for a Physiotherapy Technician motivated to work with the older population and interested in healthy ageing. Timely rehabilitative input helps maintain residents' mobility and independence. In this role, you will support registered Physiotherapy staff by carrying out rehabilitation activities under their guidance, including mobility and exercise activities, assisting with patient treatments, and using specialist equipment as advised.
After training, you will be assigned a list of residents to treat daily, with treatment plans provided by Physiotherapists. You must prioritize clinical work, manage resident-related activities, and work independently, liaising with Physiotherapy staff as needed. Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Provide Physiotherapist-led rehabilitation for residents, liaising with Physiotherapists for treatment progression.
2. Identify residents requiring additional specialist input or wheelchair assessments and report to the Physiotherapy Manager.
3. Seek support from Clinical Supervisor or Physiotherapy Manager as needed.
4. Teach and supervise exercises and mobility for residents managing their exercise plans independently.
5. Manage own caseload, implementing and progressing treatment programs.
6. Report equipment issues or maintenance needs to Physiotherapy Manager.
7. Document all treatment sessions.
