As a Support Worker, you will play a key part in providing both practical support and genuine companionship.Meet Our ClientYou will be supporting a man in his adult years who lives independently and has a rich life history and wide range of interests.
He enjoys sharing stories from his travels, keeping up to date with current affairs and politics, listening to music, watching sport and enjoying good food. He also has a great sense of humour and enjoys making people laugh. He has a brain injury which affects his mobility, speech and memory.
He can communicate verbally but speech may be quiet and unclear at times, so patience and strong communication skills are essential.Your role will focus on supporting him to maintain independence, structure and wellbeing, while encouraging engagement in the things he enjoys.About the RoleProviding 1:1 support with daily routines and activitiesSupporting communication and promoting understandingSupporting with meal preparation and household tasksSupporting with maintaining routine and daily structureAssisting with finances where appropriateProviding companionship and encouraging social engagementAbout YouFull clean UK driving licence (21+ required for insurance purposes)Eligibility to Work in the UK: You must be eligible to work in the UK.
