Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Deputy manager / Pre-school Room Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent management and leadership skills to oversee the nursery room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. The Nursery Deputy /Room Leader will also be responsible for guiding staff, communicating effectively with parents, and implementing educational activities that promote children's development.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the nursery room team, fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
* Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that cater to the developmental needs of children.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery, maintaining high standards of care.
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
* Supervise daily activities, ensuring they are engaging and conducive to learning.
* Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.
* Provide support and guidance to staff members, promoting professional development within the team.
* Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning environment across the nursery.
Requirements
* Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
* Excellent management and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
* A background in nursery experience is highly desirable.
* A passion for working with children and fostering their growth and development.
* A valid driving licence may be beneficial for potential off-site activities or outings.
