We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our Adults Therapy Team at Hellesdon Hospital Hospital.
Within this role you will be working using evidence based practice alongside a rich and varied MDT. You will assess, develop and plan specialist treatment and interventions for adults with complex mental health and physical problems. Your role will include moving and handling assessments, identifying exercises and recording outcome measures for service users' presenting with multi-pathologies and declining mental health function.

The successful candidate will work across our 2 male and 2 female wards, along with our female Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. We also have a new acute ward opening in the New Year. You will be based within our AHP team, but expected to have strong links to the ward MDT. In this role you will be able to work independently under the direct supervision of the band 6 Physiotherapist and have support from other senior Allied Health Professionals.

Within our service you will have the opportunity to work with inpatients who have diagnoses such as psychosis, anxiety and mood disorders. You will have the opportunity to use your physical health training alongside the ability to communicate and engage with adults living with complex mental and physical health needs.
The Main Duties will include:
• Maintaining service users safety, comfort and well-being
• Completion of moving and handling assessments, falls, balance, neurological, MSK, respiratory assessments and corresponding
treatments
• Delivering groups and exercise programs
• Providing specialist advice, educating others and supporting more junior staff
• Use of community equipment provision systems (TCES equip) to facilitate transition of care during service users discharge process
• Completion of home visits and visiting care homes, pertaining to discharge planning.
• Working closely with other AHP's and the wider MDT to provide high quality care for service users.
We work collaboratively to share knowledge, learning and promote effective communication. There are opportunities to engage in CPD at MDT, AHP Forums, and meetings where staff engage in open and honest sharing of views.
