Role.
Senior Economic Modelling Manager to lead a team of Analysts to prepare economic and financial analysis for major procurements/ programmes (to HM Treasury Green Book requirements) and to lead economic and financial analysis for strategic projects in DCC. As a monopoly service provider, we must hit the highest standards of analysis and evidence to ensure that we provide value for money and efficiency for the energy sector, and ultimately end-consumers.
What will you be doing?
* · Lead preparation of Economic and Financial Analysis for major (>10m) bids to HM Treasury Green Book requirements.
* Estimate of industry costs and DCC costs together with benefits forecasting for both DCC and entire Smart Meter Implementation Programme.
* Lead design of models and liaison with all stakeholders, including, where appropriate, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, Ofgem, Smart Energy Code (SEC) and SEC panels and DCC customers to validate model requirements.
* Gathering of data from a range of sources including market engagement, and Bidder / Supplier submissions to obtain cost references.
* Lead the presentation of results and methodology to Executive and Director level within DCC and equivalent in other stakeholder communities.
What we are looking for.
* The successful candidate will have strong experience of economic and financial modelling.
* They will be experienced at working in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and in collaborating with multi-functional teams.
* They will have excellent communication skills and stakeholder management allowing them to tailor analysis and communications to explain complex issues concisely and clearly.
* They will need to demonstrate strong leadership, demonstrate coaching skills to help others learn from them, and be able to manage and prioritise time and workload and adapt to changing priorities.
* Qualifications.
* Economic/ Maths/ Engineering degree or relevant accounting qualification.
