Responsibilities
The service engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and service of market-leading engine plant equipment on site and at client sites across London. This role will include travel to customer sites in a company van, so a full UK driving licence is required. You will be at the depot daily, so must live a commutable distance. No two days will be the same and you will be rewarded for your work and commitment.
Requirements
* Service engineering experience with engines; maintenance of engines and any equipment with an engine (e.g., moving machinery, vehicles, automotive, agricultural machinery, plant, battery-powered, diesel engines, etc.).
* Good mechanical or electrical/electro-mechanical engineering experience; ability to interpret hydraulic diagrams, engineering drawings and electrical diagrams.
* Level 3 engineering qualifications or above.
* Previous field service experience and/or happy for a field service role.
* Commutable to Aylesbury depot on a daily basis; happy for calls-outs to client sites across London and the south; full UK driving licence.
Desirable
* Experience with large vehicles (HGV), FLT, heavy plant machinery, and generators; service and maintenance experience of plant and fleet equipment.
* Ex-forces service maintenance engineers (e.g., REME) with good service and maintenance experience of plant, trucks, tanks, heavy equipment, and forklift trucks.
Location and travel
Travel to customer sites in the UK from the Aylesbury depot; daily commutable distance required from home to the depot.
